Mrs Yip has been enjoying positive changes to her living circumstances and relationships since moving into United Court. “After moving into United Court, our lives changed for the better. We had more space, and even a garden for our son to run around freely. We even have day care services here, which means he gets to hang out with kids at his age. We have also attended family cooking classes and outings; our little boy has really become a lot happier and healthier.”

Mrs. Leung used to live in a cramped subdivided unit, paying over HK$7,000 per month for rent and utilities. The poor living conditions caused anxiety and sleepless nights due to fear of rent increases and eviction.

Upon the social worker's suggestion, she applied to live in the United Court and has been there for over a year. Now, she and her husband live in a two-person unit for just over HK$2,000 per month. Participating in the service unit's activities, she has formed friendly relationships with neighbors, leading to a brighter and happier life.

The Au family used to live in a cramped rooftop unit, worrying about their daughter's safety. Moving to the United Court improved their living conditions. Rent decreased from $5,300 to just over $3,000, and United Court is only a 10-minute walk from Yuen Long Station, saving transportation costs. Their daughter became more outgoing and made new friends in the play area there. The family now enjoys a safer and more affordable home, bringing them a brighter and livelier life.
