A comfortable and safe living environment is essential for "aging in place". The cross-functional team of the " Elderly-friendly Home Improvement " project consists of social workers, occupational therapists and designers. Starting from understanding the physical functions and daily needs of the elderly, to considering home safety and exchanging ideas with the users, they gradually rebuild a cozy home for the elderly.
With handrails, shower chairs, a custom-made entryway cabinet, and a feature wall incorporating natural elements through a "participatory design" approach, the team has created an elder-friendly living space.
