Cha chaan teng (Hong Kong-style tea restaurant) is an authentic part of Hong Kong's culture, carrying collective memories of Hong Kong people. The H.K.S.K.H. Li Ka Shing Care and Attention Home for the Elderly, in collaboration with Hong Kong Baptist University's Department of Social Work, organized the "Shing Kee Cafe" event.
The event aims to create a nostalgic experience for elderly residents and patients with dementia. The event involved assessing their abilities and matching them with roles such as chefs, bartenders, waiters, and cashiers. Through scenario-based activities, the event aimed to enhance their cognitive abilities, including concentration, memory, and procedural skills.
