A photo exhibition on the “History and Legacy of the Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui Social Welfare Services (1843-2016)” was held from 24^th to 28^th June, 2016 at Olympian City 2. The exhibition showcased more than 230 rare historical photographs reflecting the development of the Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui’s services over the span of 170 years. Organisers invited two officiating guests—Mr Matthew Cheung, GBM, GBS, JP, Secretary for Labour and Welfare, and the Most Revd Dr Paul Kwong, Archbishop and Primate of the H.K.S.K.H. and Honorary Patron of the Welfare Council. During a ceremony on 25^th June, together with Council representatives, the officiating guests kicked off the exhibition. More than 70 service users, aged 3 to 80, were also invited to perform in a variety show inspired by the development of the Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui’s social services. Performances included drama, dance and playing musical instruments. Organisers also hosted 64 interactive old-school handicraft workshops for the public.
