The Welfare Council and Sun Hung Kai Properties jointly released on the co-development of "United Court" Transitional Housing Project at Tung Tau, Yuen Long.

The Wong Tai Sin District Health Centre was successfully tendered as the first district primary health care service to promote public awareness of disease prevention and self-management of health and support the chronically ill through a public-private partnership.

The Social Welfare Department introduced the first subvented service for ethnic minorities; the Welfare Council was one of the first organisations designated for the operation.

The Grace Garden for Rehabilitation — Day Activity Centre & Hostel has commenced operation on 15th September, 2020, providing 30 hostel places and 60 day-training places for persons with moderate to severe intellectual disabilities. Apart from day care and residential services, the centre also emphasises interaction and integration between the rehabilitated persons and the community, such as participating in online festive activities with local rehabilitation service units and promoting the centre’s services to Tung Chung residents.
